2008 “Can you go the Distance?” Desert Challenge

VORRA is pleased to announce the 2008 “Can you go the Distance?” Desert Challenge by Bradley Race Works.

Brad Falin is awarding $2,000 to divide among all racers that qualify.  All you do to qualify is complete all your laps in all three desert races.  There's nothing to buy, no need to sign up, the finishing points will tell the tale.  You can be in any class that requires more than 1 lap, including Quads, Pilots, and UTV's.

Brad told us he has always been inspired by a quote from Rod Hall "In order to win you must first finish".

You don’t have to be the fastest or the biggest, just cross the Finish line in time. Sounds easy right? Well, we will see how many racers can put themselves into the "Finishers Circle".  If nobody makes it in 2008, he's going to DOUBLE the bounty next year$$$

So mark your calendars, get your vehicle set, and get ready to go over 900 miles on some of the most beautiful back country in Northern Nevada! See you at the finish line.

The following Racers have endured two races now and are still in the running for $2,000 dollars!! Only 300 more miles to go, get ready for Yerington "Round 2"!

  • heather : We only keep trophys for one race following the race. Then we recycle the trophies. Please pick up your awards at the awards ceremony following the race.
  • christian j : heather you guys and gals are the best. thanks
  • Dianne Bennett : Hey Heather, Who do I need to bug to get Cody's 1st Place trophy from the first Yerington race?
  • heather : Christian, We have been talking about that. I think we should have something going by the end of the year.
  • christian j : heather, i know that you have a lot going on , but how about a page on the web site that has driver info and a pic or two?
  • christian j : robert, no one that i have seen this year is running that number in semi pro. if any one happened to show up to yerington with that number besides your self one of the two would have to put a "x" after the number like we did. christian 511x
  • 9Iron : Robert, come on and run your racer. If you have any questions, go to 'contact us' and email the info address provided. they are preatty good about getting back to you soon. Have fun!
  • JMonroe : Well, technically. You are supposed to run numbers corresponding with your class, ie: 1__ for class one, 10__ for class ten etc. But semi-pro class is pretty lax on that. Just my understanding. John
  • #77 : idk as much about the car numbers but im pretty sure you can run any number in any class unless someone already has that number taken
  • ROBERT : WE ARE PLANNING ON YERRINGTON BEING OUR FIRST RACE WITH OUR CLASS 11 IN SEMI PRO. MY QUESTION IS OUR CAR S # IS 1110 CAN WE RUN THIS # IF WE ARE ENTERING SEMI PRO
